Literature Days 2026 Day 2: A Letter in the Mailbox

The second day of Literature Days 2026 at Horsens Library centres on the theme "A Letter in the Mailbox" - letter writing, communication and creating connections between people, explored through art and literature. The day takes place in the Hall in folk-school spirit with talks and conversations.

The programme begins at 9.30 with rolls and coffee, followed by a welcome and group singing at 10.00. Next comes the talk "Letters from Horsens" by Museum Horsens (11.05), book inspiration about epistolary novels (11.05), and a talk on the letter as a literary genre by author and PhD in Literary History Anne Green Munk (11.30). A shared vegetarian lunch is served at 12.15.

The afternoon features a walk to Getsemane Church at 13.00, a letter-writing workshop with music at 13.30, coffee and cake at 14.15, and Letters Live at 14.30. The day concludes with sparkling wine, group singing and thanks at 15.00.
