Make Bird Masks with Rum for Opfindsomhed (all ages)

Make bird masks - free family workshop: Wednesday 14 October 2026, 10:00–14:00, Solvang Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Bird masks in watercolour, ink & natural materials

Designer and artist Linda Weimann from Rum for Opfindsomhed leads this workshop where participants create their own bird masks based on traces, transparency and patterns. Along the way, natural materials such as leaves, shells, feathers and small branches are used to create imprints, textures and details - the result might be a colourful parrot, a mysterious night bird or an entirely new species. You are welcome to bring your own finds as a supplement.

The workshop takes place on Wednesday 14 October, 10:00-14:00 at Solvang Library. It is open to everyone, free of charge and requires no advance booking.

The event is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn half-term (week 42), which gives children and their adults the opportunity to experience performing arts at cultural centres, libraries and theatres around Copenhagen - this year in Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavnen and Bispebjerg. The festival is supported by Augustinus Foundation and Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee.
