Learn to scythe and help nature at Hærup Sø

More about Hærup Sø: https://viborg.dk/oplevelser-og-fritid/ud-i-naturen/naturomraader/haerup-soe-i-skals-aadalen/

The aim of the day is to combat the growth of tall herbs and grasses and improve conditions for smaller plants in the area - including the rare blank seglmos, bukkeblad and may-gøgeurt. Grazing keeps some of the vegetation down, but not enough, so Viborg Municipality is seeking volunteer hands.

The programme:
Kl. 10.00 - Welcome and introduction to the area by Viborg Municipality
Kl. 10.15 - Introduction to scythe-cutting by Vild med Vilje
Kl. 10.30 - Scythe-cutting, raking and cutting of tree growth with pruning shears
Around 12.00 - Lunch
Around 14.00 - Closing

Everyone is welcome, but registration is required for catering purposes - by 17 September via the registration link below. Registered participants will be served sandwiches, soft drinks, water, fruit, snacks and cake during the day.
