On 30 September, Architecture Day is marked at Den Fynske Landsby with a focus on transformation, renovation and reuse of existing buildings.

The day poses the question: how do we breathe new life into what we have already built? Through concrete examples, the possibilities for building on the existing building stock are explored.

About the venue: Den Fynske Landsby

Den Fynske Landsby (The Funen Village) is an open-air museum beside the Fruens Bøge woodland in Odense, established in 1942 and opened to the public in 1946. Its 25 buildings - farms, smallholdings, an inn, a school, a windmill and an 1893 brickworks - were all relocated from villages across Funen and the surrounding islands. During the season, costumed volunteers bring 19th-century rural life to the site, and the museum's open-air amphitheatre hosts concerts.
