Exhibition - Art on the Brain

Art on the Brain - exhibition: 8 December – 5 January 2026, Gellerup Bibliotek, Brabrand. Admission is free.

The exhibition "Art on the Brain" draws inspiration from research at DANDRITE, Aarhus University's center for basic brain research, where neurons, synapses, and the brain's smallest building blocks have been transformed into images and sculptures.

The works range from microscopic recordings of the brain's hidden structures to handcrafted interpretations of neural patterns. Materials, colors, and expression vary from work to work - just as the brain itself contains vastly different forms and functions.

As a visitor, you are also invited to contribute: write down your thoughts and questions and hang them on the work "Yarn Brain".

DANDRITE works interdisciplinarily to understand how the brain functions, develops, and changes - from the molecular level to behavior.
