Wool Workshop
Join Hedestrik for a hands-on workshop where you create a large collaborative wet-felted textile work. Wool from Nordic sheep often ends up as waste, yet it can be transformed into durable textiles - this is the focus of the workshop.
You'll start by preparing raw wool with carders and hands, lay the fibres for the large work, and felt it through shared movements. Along the way, you'll learn about wool, sheep, and wet-felting techniques, and gain skills to continue working with the method independently. No prior experience is needed.
Hedestrik operates from a wool culture house in Nørrebro and explores wool's potential from a climate perspective - including dogma-free and rule-free approaches as alternatives to commercial yarn and knitting culture.
The workshop takes place on Saturday, 10 October 2026, 11:00-16:00 at Munkeruphus, Munkerup Strandvej 78, 3120 Dronningmølle. The price is 280 kr. and includes instruction, materials, and entry to the exhibition. Places are limited. Lunch can be purchased at the café.
