The Mobile Volunteer Center comes to Langeland Library

On the last Friday in September, volunteer centers across Denmark celebrate Volunteer Friday. This year, Volunteer Center Langeland takes a new approach: instead of gathering everything in Rudkøbing, staff and volunteers embark on a five-day tour in week 39 under the heading "The Mobile Volunteer Center". They hold open house in Snøde, Tullebølle, Rudkøbing (Langeland Library), Humble and Bagenkop.

Open house runs from 14:00 to 17:00 and is aimed at established associations, informal communities and curious citizens. There are sandwiches, coffee and cake, and you can get concrete advice on running associations, help starting new initiatives and guidance on the Socialkompas Langeland platform.

On the day you can also hear about volunteer services across the island, including the telephone service TJEK IND for people with mental health vulnerabilities and men's groups under the project FLERE Mænd I Fællesskaber. In addition to the Volunteer Center, Ældresagen, Mødrehjælpen, SeniorCentralen and FOTO Langeland are present - the latter takes association portraits.

Content for the day:
• Advice on association development, volunteer recruitment and more

• Meet associations such as Ældresagen, Langeland Social Humanitarian Services, SeniorCentralen and Seniorrådet
