A Touch of Nature in Knitting

A Touch of Nature in Knitting workshop: Saturday 5 December 2026, 10:00–13:00, Kulturstationen Vanløse, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 300–360 kr.

A workshop with designer and author Jorit Tellervo, who draws inspiration from nature's berries, flowers, and birds and transforms them into knitting. Based on her own watercolors, Jorit has created a connection between art, nature, and knitting - including in the books "A Touch of Nature in Knitting" and "Painting with Thread", where watercolors and knitting meet in colorful nature motifs for both children and adults.

During the workshop, Jorit shares insights into knitting as a form of relief and how creative handwork can create calm and presence. Over many years, Jorit has worked with grief and the dissemination of knowledge about grief, and has published several books on the subject.

Bring: knitting needles size 3.5 or 4, yarn scraps in various colors, tapestry needle, and scissors.
