Working Archaeological Workshop - Free Entry

Working Archaeological Workshop: 14 October – 25 November 2026, Københavns Museum, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Every Wednesday afternoon in January, February and March, Copenhagen Museum opens the doors to the Archaeological Workshop at Stormgade 20 - at the corner of Stormgade and H. C. Andersen Boulevard. Here visitors can follow the archaeologists' work registering, documenting and packing the objects excavated in Copenhagen: ceramics, glass, leather shoes, knitted stockings and small silk hats.

You can ask the archaeologists questions about the finds and the methods behind the work - a part of museum work that normally happens behind closed doors.

Entry is free. Open every Wednesday 15:00-17:00.
