Christmas Theatre for children - The Little Angel: Saturday 5 December 2026, 11:00–11:40, Vigerslev Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

A little angel floats among the Christmas decorations, unsure of where she belongs. Everyone she meets is stressed about Christmas and too busy to help her. Then a sweet elf appears and helps her find her place, and finally everything becomes calm and cosy.

The story is told through angels, elves, Christmas decorations, dolls, various objects and Christmas music. The production is a free adaptation of Camilla Mickwitz's children's book The Little Angel. Concept, scenography and performance are by Karina Nielsen from Teater AstaBasta.

The performance is for children from 3 years old and lasts approximately 40 minutes. It takes place in Salen.

About the venue: Vigerslev Bibliotek

Vigerslev Library sits in the Folehave district of Valby and serves as both a public and school library under Copenhagen Libraries. The large single-room space is divided between a children's area with room to play and read, and a quieter section for adults. The library acts as a local hub, regularly hosting events such as read-alouds, community singing, a people's kitchen and holiday camps, often in partnership with nearby daycare centres and local organisations.
