This afternoon, Thomas Bay, theatre director of Fredericia Musicalteater, sits at the piano and presents a curated repertoire - including his own favorites from the Danish folk songbook Højskolesangbogen.

About the venue: Biblioteket på KulturØen

Biblioteket på KulturØen is the main library of Middelfart Kultur & Bibliotek, housed in the KulturØen building since it opened in 2005. The building was designed by architect John Lassen of Schmidt Hammer Lassen and sits on an artificial island by the Lillebælt strait. The library spans two floors - children and young people on the ground floor, adults above - and was thoroughly redesigned in 2016 by Rosan Bosch Studio. The same building also contains Panorama Biografen, a restaurant and tourist information.

About: Thomas Bay

Thomas Bay is the artistic director of Fredericia Musicalteater, one of Denmark's major musical theatre venues. Trained as a musician, he works day-to-day with large-scale musical productions, though here he appears in the more intimate role of pianist.
