Archaeological Excavations in Hans Tavsens Park · Hans Tavsens Park, Copenhagen
Description was written before the event

Copenhagen Museum is currently excavating in a tent on the construction site opposite Jesper Brochmands Gade in Hans Tavsens Park. At this event, you can get close to the excavations and hear archaeologists talk about their work and the finds they have made - including insights into the lives of poor Copenhageners in the 1800s.

Guidance tours take place on Thursday, September 24 from 14:00 to 16:30 in groups of up to 25 people. A free ticket is required to participate - your group's time slot is shown on your ticket. Arrive 5 minutes before your tour, which lasts 45 minutes. While you wait, you can learn more about the project in the park.

One practical note: you may encounter real skeletons. Read more about the project on the signs in the park or at www.kk.dk/hans-tavsens-park.
