Step On Stage #7

Step On Stage (S.O.S) is a concert series that gives emerging Danish artists the chance to perform live. The organizers prioritize creating a safe space where all artists can take the stage and share their music.

For this seventh edition, three bands are performing:

Maya's Call plays melodic rock, ballads and punk rooted in 1990s alternative rock. The band has five years of experience and has played at venues including Rust, Drop Inn, Pumpehuset and Kun For Forrykte Festival. Their debut album Maya's Call came out in 2025, and they are already working on new material.

Ronja is a young band with shared lead vocals and a sound they describe as melodic indie rock with big chords and subtle vocals - inspired by the 1990s and 2000s. Their lyrics explore longing and a sense of wanting to be somewhere else, in another time.

Red Light District blends noise-pop and indie rock with heavy effects and dreamy textures. The band cites Beach House and MGMT as inspirations and calls their sound "plastic computer rock". Their lyrics move between everyday reflections, alienation and grand love.
