Patchwork Course: Sewn Paintings
Osramhuset, Tekstilværkstedet på 1. sal, Copenhagen
Learn patchwork techniques to create painterly motifs in textile on this one-day workshop. You'll explore working with fabric, form, and composition - no patchwork experience needed, but basic sewing machine skills are expected. Machines and materials are provided.
Each participant sews their own patchwork piece, and at the end all contributions are displayed together on a bulletin board at Osramhuset's textile workshop. The workshop runs for 4 hours with breaks available. Feel free to bring a packed lunch - cold drinks can be purchased with MobilePay.
The instructor is Cecilie Schou Grønbeck, an artist and designer trained at the Royal Danish Academy and Kunsthochschule Weissensee in Berlin. She works with textile, costume, and installation, focusing on craftsmanship, colour, and materials.
Location: Textile Workshop, 1st floor, Osramhuset. Maximum 8 participants. Please cancel if you cannot attend so your place can be given to someone else.
