Con amore - Italian Arias and Songs: Saturday 24 October 2026, 15:00–17:00, Festsalen i Den Gamle Katedralskole/Musikskolen, Haderslev. Tickets cost 100–120 kr.

The concert "Con amore" focuses on Italian song, drawing on composers with ties to Sicily: Alessandro Scarlatti, Vincenzo Bellini, and Stefano Donaudy. Soprano Maria Johannsen sings and speaks, accompanied by pianist Emma A. Roesgaard, who studies at the soloist programme at the conservatory in Odense.

The programme spans from Sicilian Baroque through Bellini's bel canto to Donaudy's songs - demonstrating that classical Italian song extends far beyond Verdi and Puccini. Sicilian cakes and coffee are served during the interval.

Tickets cost 120 kr. (100 kr. for members of Ældre Sagen) and can be purchased on Billetto with a fee, without a fee at Dams Bogbar, Jomfrustien 2a in Haderslev, or at the entrance from 14:00 on 24 October.
