Annual Meeting of DN Ringsted

Danmarks Naturfredningsforeningen's local branch in Ringsted (DN Ringsted) holds its annual meeting on Monday, 28 September at 19:00 in "Salen" at Anlægspavillonen, Tværvej 1-3, Ringsted. Water, coffee and cake will be served. Everyone is welcome.

The evening focuses on Ringsted Å and the water environment in the municipality. Denmark's water environment is under severe pressure - historically severe oxygen depletion affects fjords and inner waters each year due to excess nutrients, and Ringsted Å plays a central role locally. DN Ringsted works for more wetlands for the benefit of nature and citizens. Orla Johansen will present on Ringsted Å based on the watercourse regulation that has been debated, and will provide insight into the challenges and considerations behind the regulation's current status.

Chairman Jan will review the year's work in DN Ringsted, including the Green Tripartite, Naturpark Ringsted and local activities such as guided tours, litter collection and Nature's Day. There will also be elections to the board, and the meeting will conclude with a summary.
