Embroidery Workshop - Christine Swane: 7 November – 8 November 2026, Nivaagaards Malerisamling, Nivå.

This weekend, embroidery experts from the Johannes Larsen Museum visit Nivaagaards Malerisamling. They are specialists in Christine Swane's techniques and will guide participants in recreating table runners based on Swane's designs.

The workshop takes place at long tables in the Søjlesalen, surrounded by world-class art.

About the venue: Nivaagaards Malerisamling

Nivaagaards Malerisamling is an art museum next to Nivågård, founded when landowner Johannes Hage transferred his private collection to the public as an independent institution in 1908. The permanent collection covers the Italian and Northern European Renaissance, Dutch Baroque and the Danish Golden Age, and the museum has gained international recognition for its holdings of female Renaissance and Baroque artists. Two to three temporary exhibitions are held each year, often featuring more recent art. The museum sits in a large garden with old trees and rhododendrons, and runs a programme of lectures, concerts, guided tours and drawing classes.
