DANGO brings together Argentine tango and Danish musical classics, giving well-known melodies fresh interpretations. Before the concert, conductor Luigi Coviello leads a workshop on the rhythms and structures of tango music, with a focus on understanding and dancing tango.

The concert itself features the tango orchestra Andariega and singer Camilla Marie Dahlgreen, with bandoneon player Stine Engen leading the way. The dance floor opens up during the show, inviting the audience to participate actively.

The performance brings together Danish and Argentine artists around themes of cultural exchange, longing, and the experience of having multiple homes.

About the venue: Kildevæld Kulturcenter

Kildevæld Kulturcenter is a community cultural centre in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, built as an extension to the listed Kildevældsskolen and set between the school and a neighbouring park. The building holds a library, a theatre and concert hall, creative workshops, a café, and a digital workshop equipped with laser cutters and 3D printers. Its programme targets residents of all ages in the Skt. Kjelds Kvarter neighbourhood, with a focus on the meeting point between urban nature and culture.
