Who Was Karin Michaëlis?

Who Was Karin Michaëlis? Lecture: Thursday 29 October 2026, 10:00–12:00, 1. Hovedbiblioteket, Randers. Admission is free.

Karin Michaëlis (1872-1950) sold millions of books during her lifetime, lectured to thousands of people across many countries, and championed the vulnerable - including by establishing her own refugee camp and personally opposing Hitler, a stance that came at great personal cost. Yet today she is largely forgotten.

Inger Nygaard Kaad aims to change that. She guides the audience through Michaëlis' life from cradle to grave, illuminating her both as an author and as a person.

Attendance is free, but registration is required - via the ticket link or in the Book Bus.
