Skive's JazzKai Says Goodbye

Kai's farewell concert at the Jazz Café: Thursday 15 October 2026, 15:00–16:00, Hovedbiblioteket, Skive. Admission is free.

For years, Skive Swing Duo has been a fixture at the Jazz Café on the 2nd floor, but that chapter is coming to an end. Before it closes, Kai sets aside an hour to share his journey into jazz, what the music has meant alongside a busy working life, and the experiences that have stayed with him. Between the stories, he also plays the piano.

Kai has been fully engaged in working life for 50 years, but jazz has been with him all the way. "I'll probably never let go of the keys," he says, "but from now on it will mostly be at home and on a more private basis."

The afternoon is also an opportunity to thank the many who have visited the Jazz Café over the years. There is free entry and coffee.
