Jesper Bugge Kold on Danish emigration: Monday 1 February 2027, 19:00–21:00, Nyborg Bibliotek, Nyborg. Tickets cost 100 kr.

Drawing on his romantic trilogy, Jesper Bugge Kold tells the story of more than 300,000 Danes who emigrated to America from 1850 onwards. The author's own relative, Peter Julius Christensen, left Denmark in 1879, and his letters inspired Bugge Kold to write the story of Johanne and Jens - a Danish family seeking a better life in America.

Tickets cost 100 kr. and can be purchased via the ticket button or directly at Nyborg Library, where payment is made in cash or by MobilePay.

Companion tickets are free for all events. Purchase your own ticket first, then contact the library at bibliotek@nyborg.dk with your order number, and they will send a companion ticket in return. The companion ticket is only valid upon presentation of a valid companion card.
