Q's Barbershop - Free Film and Discussion

Salaam Filmfestival returns to Osramhuset with a free film evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening begins with a brief introduction to the programme, followed by the screening. After the film, Salaam's speaker engages in dialogue with the audience. Before and after the film, there are snacks and informal socializing.

The film tells the story of Qasim, who never attended school but runs a thriving barbershop in Vollsmose and was named Vollsmose Citizen of the Year in 2017. Q's Barbershop is a gathering place for many young men - particularly Somali - in the area. The waiting sofa is always full, and here Qasim shares advice on education, work, love, marriage and self-confidence - as well as recommendations for the right haircut.

The event is free, but registration is required.
