Atusji and Hængemulen at BRØK Plenum: Friday 6 November 2026, 20:00–23:00, BRØK, Plenum, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 100–150 kr.
A Summer Day at Bellahøj and BRØK present a double concert featuring two original takes on Danish-language indie: Atusji and Hængemulen.
Atusji
Terkel Atsushi Røjle - Danish-Japanese and better known as Atusji - comes to BRØK with his Danish-language album Indie, released earlier this year and awarded five stars in GAFFA. The album is built from sharply drawn scenes with recognizable characters: the disillusioned idealist, the poet without depth, the unfaithful lover. The lyrics move between the funny, the sad, and the skewed - about love, infidelity, zest for life, abuse, and freedom - told with sarcastic confidence and poetic precision. Atusji is also nominated for Songwriter of the Year at the independent music award Den Uafhængige 2026. Previous releases include Slowboat to Asakusa (2024) and the trilogy Soapbox Vol. 1, 2 and 3, and he has performed at Roskilde Festival, SPOT Festival, and Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
Hængemulen
Hængemulen is four musicians with extensive experience from the Danish scene, now playing together with theremins, rototoms, homemade effect pedals, and a thorough DIY approach. Their latest album Hængemulens Kundeservice from 2025 is described as an existential empathy hotline - and a new album is already on the way.
