If Crisis Comes - Is Denmark Ready: Monday 9 November 2026, 17:00–18:00, Biblioteket i Herning, Herning. Admission is free.

Ministers and authorities regularly warn that severe weather, technological failures, and hybrid threats could strike Danish society - affecting water supply, power grids, sewage systems, and everyday shopping and communication. But how well prepared are we, as a society and as citizens? And what can we do to become more resilient?

Rasmus Dahlberg is a lecturer in societal security at Roskilde University and a member of the Ministry for Societal Security and Emergency Management's Expert Panel for Emergency Preparedness. He is also one of two gamemasters in the DR1 programme "Crisis Exercise: Hybrid Attack on Denmark". In this lecture, he focuses on both your own and Denmark's crisis preparedness.

The event is free but requires a ticket and takes place in the Platformen room.

The lecture is part of the thematic collaboration "Together on Preparedness" - a partnership between DR, Østifterne, the Danish Council for Adult Education, and the Libraries. The collaboration invites citizens to conversations and practical knowledge about preparedness - not only as practical preparation, but also from social, mental, and cultural perspectives: how we understand crises, talk about them, and help each other when everyday life is challenged.
