Author Talk with Kim Ace

Author Talk with Kim Ace: Friday 20 November 2026, 15:00–16:00, Ikast Bibliotek, Ikast. Admission is free.

Drawing on his books Geminiforbandelsen and Lucas O'Kult, Kim Ace talks about writing fantasy, horror and humour. He uses personal stories to show how a main character can be both a bedwetter and a hero at the same time, and how a teenager with anxiety can end up saving the world from evil. The talk is humorous in tone, and Kim Ace is open about how nobody in his circle believed he would become an author - but determination and a love of books go hand in hand.

The goal is to inspire children and young people to read and give them practical tips for writing more vividly - to play with words and find joy in it. Kim Ace also tells his own story: how an outsider from a small town in Jutland found his way to the country's biggest musical stages and later became a published author. Children and young people who feel left out or different should go home feeling seen.
