Emma Mali + UKRUDT Operaen Showcase

Operaen on Christiania hosts a showcase evening with two new Danish bands: Emma Mali and UKRUDT.

Emma Mali describes their sound as an adult teenage rebellion - flowers, bold colours and the feeling of not belonging. The music is synth-pop-punk that draws on digital, optimistic 1980s synthpop on one side and raw punk guitars and direct lyrics on the other. The two poles mirror each other and create space for personal songs about anxiety, optimism and the right to do things your own way.

UKRUDT is a Danish-language group that puts emotion and melody at the centre. The music moves from acoustic guitar to atmospheric synthesizers and instrumental interludes, and the lyrics are written for those who dare to put their soul in the spotlight.
