CatalansDK 30th Anniversary Celebration

CatalansDK 30th Anniversary - live music: Saturday 24 October 2026, 14:00–23:00, Union, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 50–100 kr.

CatalansDK celebrates 30 years - founded as Casal Català de Cultura de Copenhaguen on April 22, 1996 - with a big party in the Aula hall at Union, facing Sankt Hans Torv.

The afternoon starts at 14:00 with vermouth and welcome snacks, followed by live music for all ages and a look back at the association's history with its past presidents. At 16:00 there will be anniversary cake, cava, and a performance by Xiquets de Copenhaguen. La Geganta, which has been offering psychomotor classes in Catalan to Catalan families in Denmark for almost 20 years, will also be present, and the Copenhagen Catalan Film Festival team has prepared a surprise. At 17:15, some of the oldest members will share stories about emigrating to Denmark 50 years ago. Throughout the afternoon there will be parallel activities for children.

At 18:30 there is dinner, and at 20:00 the cover band concert by "Els Trinxats" from Berga begins, followed by DJ Roofsalia until 23:00. The bar is run by Xiquets de Copenhaguen.

Afternoon activities are free and require no advance registration. For dinner and the concert, tickets must be purchased through Billetto, where you can also choose the type of sandwich for dinner. Ticket sales for dinner close one week before to allow for ordering.
