As a sideman, he has written and played piano on Rosalía's GRAMMY-winning "Hentai", played organ on Meshell Ndegeocello's album No More Water: The Gospel of James Baldwin and on Chance the Rapper's "No Problem". He has also collaborated with Nick Hakim, Bilal, Andrew Bird and Blood Orange, and currently performs as a duo Jake and Abe with Meshell Ndegeocello.

Thom Gill is a Toronto-based musician who over the past 15 years has toured internationally with KNOWER, Sam Amidon, Sam Wilkes, Martha Wainwright, Fievel is Glauque and Jeremy Dutcher. He appears on recent albums by Chaka Khan, The Mountain Goats, Beverly Glenn Copeland and The Weather Station, and has composed music for theatre, dance, film and television - including the feature films Mississippi River Styx (with Joseph Shabason) and Caroline Monnet's Bootlegger (with Tanya Tagaq and Jean Martin), as well as the short film Caring Cabin with Beverly Glenn Copeland, which premiered at Criterion.
