How to Use an FM Emergency Radio - Emergency Preparedness Day

FM Emergency Radio workshop - hands-on guide: Friday 6 November 2026, 14:00–18:00, Biblioteket i Herning, Herning.

When normal communication channels fail during an emergency, the emergency radio can be your only access to information from authorities. But how does it work, which frequency should you tune to, and what should you look for when buying one?

Volunteers from the library's IT café offer short introductions and hands-on demonstrations, including frequency tuning and charging. You are welcome to bring your own FM radio - or try one of the library's demo units.
