Access for All Bodies - Exhibition Opening and Panel Discussion

Access for All Bodies - Exhibition: Wednesday 7 October 2026, 16:30–18:30, Hovedbiblioteket i Aalborg, Aalborg.

The afternoon begins with the opening of an artwork created based on perspectives, experiences and reflections from Kulturmødet Mors 2026, exploring the question: How do we create equal access to culture and community for people with disabilities? The work brings together voices and ideas in an artistic investigation of accessibility, participation and belonging.

Following the opening is a panel discussion on access, accessibility and representation in cultural life. The panel features:

• Laurits Balker (b. 2002), who debuted in 2023 with the poetry collection "Den Tynde Generation" and later published "Te og Appelsiner". His latest book, "Hey Guys Hey Guys", portrays life with a serious psychiatric diagnosis alongside hope, love, friendship and youth.
• Bibi Henriksen Saugman, one half of the leadership duo behind Kunsthal Spritten, currently transforming an industrial building into a modern art institution.
• Simon Toftgaard Jespersen, chair of Muskelsvindfonden and vice-chair of Danske Handicaporganisationer.

The discussion is moderated by Søren Malthe Nielsen from Aalborg Bibliotekerne.

Finally, there is a creative workshop in Blackout Poetry and other collaborative writing exercises, where participants are invited to share experiences and visions based on the day's discussion. No special prerequisites are required to participate. Location: Glashjørnet.
