Joanna Wojtkiewicz - Release Concert

Joanna Wojtkiewicz - Release Concert: Saturday 21 November 2026, 21:00, Drop inn, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 120 kr.

Polish jazz vocalist, lyricist, and arranger Joanna Wojtkiewicz performs music from her debut album, released on the Berlin-based label XJAZZ! Music.

The project draws on the Great American Songbook tradition but gives the classic jazz repertoire a contemporary and personal expression. Through her own lyrics and selected Polish poetry, Joanna creates a dialogue between the American jazz tradition and her own background, with storytelling and interpretation at the heart of the concert.

Joanna studied at the Academy of Music in Poznań and the South Danish Conservatory of Music, and currently works between Poland and Denmark, drawing inspiration from both musical traditions.

Performers:
• Joanna Wojtkiewicz - vocals
• Mateusz Kaszuba - piano
• Michał Rutkowski - double bass
• Jan Szkudlarek - drums
