Startup Workshop: Citizen-Driven Collaborative Work for SKAB Festival 2027

The process behind the collaborative work for SKAB Festival 2027 kicks off with an open startup workshop on 21 October. Jane Susanne Andersen, head of the art school and artistic director, introduces the idea and presents the concept of free crochet:

"Free crochet is a creative crochet technique without a fixed pattern or recipe, where you work intuitively with yarn scraps, colours and different stitches."

Coffee and yarn are ready - remember to bring your own crochet hooks and any leftover yarn you might have. Entry is free and tickets are collected in advance. The collaborative work will be revealed in week 4, 2027, the week leading up to SKAB Festival.

If you cannot attend, there are other ways to contribute: in October a guide will be posted on the website, and a physical folder will be available for collection at the libraries. You can also join the Facebook group SKAB/Snedronningen, where all information about the 2027 collaborative work is shared.
