Brujeria returns to Copenhagen, blending grindcore and cartel death metal at Stengade on March 4, 2027. They bring Criminal from Chile, delivering a mix of death metal, thrash, and hardcore attitude.

Brujeria describes itself as a Mexican cartel mixing crime-heavy death metal with grindcore - "This is BRUJERIA". Behind the violent image lies a side project of metal and punk musicians using the persona for satire and dramatic effect. The band was formed in 1989, and their debut album "Matando Güeros" from 1993 established their extreme image - though originally a studio project, demand led them to play their first concert in 1997. The album "Esto Es Brujeria" from 2023 shows the sound remains intense after thirty years, with current and energetic lyrics. 2024 was a hard year for the band: unmasked Pinche Peach died of heart problems in July, and shortly after, in September, founder and frontman Juan Brujo also died of a heart attack. The band is back on stage nonetheless, and the concert becomes an occasion to remember them both.

Criminal was formed in Santiago, Chile, in 1991 and has shaped the Latin American metal scene ever since. The band emerged from the remains of the cult classic group Pentagram (Chile) and made their live debut as support for Kreator - the first international metal band to play in Chile. Success led to a record deal with BMG, and their first two albums, "Victimized" (1994) and "Dead Soul" (1997), became underground classics, each selling over 10,000 copies in Chile alone.

Criminal has toured for decades through South and North America as well as Europe, sharing the stage with bands like Lamb of God, Brujeria, and Six Feet Under. They have played festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, and Summer Breeze, and one of the career highlights was being direct support for Metallica in Santiago for 55,000 spectators. With nine full albums behind them, the band continues to deliver intense metal.
