Winter Dens, Caves and Fantastic Stories

Winter Dens and Caves - outdoor family activity: Saturday 17 October 2026, 10:00–13:00, Aarup.

For children aged 6-11 and their families.

The outing involves building your own shelters from branches, leaves and other materials found in the forest - but first we need to find the right hiding spots. With a bit of luck, we'll also discover some of the dens that forest animals and creatures have dug for their winter homes. We'll finish with a warm drink and stories from the forest, and those who wish can eat their packed lunch inside the shelter.

Bring a packed lunch, water bottle and optionally a blanket or sitting mat that can handle getting dirty. Dress warmly according to the weather.
