Words That Travel - multilingual readings: 14 October – 21 February 2026, BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Join us for readings aloud from books in many different languages - from Urdu to Arabic, Korean, Spanish and more. Along the way, we explore stories, sounds and scripts, and perhaps your own heart language will appear among them. There is room for curiosity and for sharing across boundaries.

After the reading, you can take part in a creative activity.

This is the first in a series of several readings, arranged by Biblioteket and the association NUBIM with support from the Nordea Foundation.

It takes place in the Children's and Youth Library on the 1st floor.

About the venue: BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej

BIBLIOTEKET on Rentemestervej opened in 2011 as Denmark's first fully integrated library and cultural centre. Designed by COBE, Transform and Brd. Andersen, the building is instantly recognisable by its four offset golden boxes, shaped like a stack of books - a landmark in the Nordvest district. Under one roof it brings together children's, youth and adult libraries, creative workshops, a flexible theatre hall, citizens' services and a café. The programme spans concerts, theatre, film screenings and literary events for all ages.
