Annual Meeting of DN Syddjurs 2026
Teatersalen i Kulturhotellet, Rønde
DN Syddjurs Annual Meeting - wolves in Denmark: Wednesday 18 November 2026, 19:00–21:00, Teatersalen i Kulturhotellet, Rønde.
Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (Danish Nature Conservation Association) Syddjurs holds its annual meeting on Wednesday, 18 November at 19:00 in Teatersalen at Kulturhotellet in Rønde.
The meeting opens with a lecture on wolves in Denmark by Kent Olsen, scientific director and senior researcher at the Natural History Museum Aarhus. Wolves returned to Danish nature in 2012 after nearly 200 years of absence, and their monitoring is now carried out by the Natural History Museum Aarhus and Aarhus University with Kent Olsen as leader. He will provide an update on wolves in Denmark fourteen years after their return, discuss monitoring, autopsies and GPS tracking, present the latest research findings, and show a series of unique recordings of Danish wolves.
Following the lecture, the ordinary agenda will be conducted according to the association's bylaws: a report on activities in 2026, proposals from members, and election of board members. Proposals to be discussed at the annual meeting must be sent to DN Syddjurs by email at least one week before the meeting.
The association is always seeking new volunteers, both for the board and for working groups outside it - interested parties can contact the association to learn more. Everyone is welcome to attend the annual meeting, but only members have voting rights.
