Skumringstimen - Cosiness and Public Reading

Skumringstimen - Public Reading: Monday 9 November 2026, 19:00–21:00, Harlev Bibliotek, Harlev J. Admission is free.

Thousands of people across the Nordic region read the same text aloud on the same day during Skumringstimen.

Harlev Library and Harlev Library's Friends invite you to the event again this year, this time in collaboration with Foreningen Norden. Passages are read from Johannes Anyurus novel "They Will Drown in Their Mothers' Tears", and songs from the Højskolesangbogen are sung. Coffee and pastries are served throughout the evening.

The novel is a vision of the future, exploring what could happen to a democratic society like Sweden if its democratic values are not protected.
