Inside the Crisis Control Room - Meet Those at the Heart of the Decisions
Inside the Crisis Control Room: Wednesday 21 October 2026, 19:00–20:30, Kolding Bibliotek, Kolding.
Morten Anker Jensen is a former police inspector in Sydøstjylland Police, where he served as head of the Police Emergency Response Unit and operations chief in NOST. He is also known from the DR programme "Crisis Exercise: Hybrid Attack on Denmark".
In conversation with DR journalist Maja Flinthøj, who has covered defence, emergency preparedness and societal crises for several years, he takes the audience behind the scenes of crisis management. Drawing on personal experiences and concrete anecdotes, he shares what it is like to be at the centre of some of the crises that have shaped Denmark.
The conversation explores the dilemmas that arise when crisis strikes: How are decisions made when time is short, information incomplete and consequences severe - and what do you do when there is no manual? The aim is an honest insight into what happens behind the scenes when society comes under pressure, and how those in charge attempt to gain control and make the right decisions to guide Denmark safely through.
