Bidstrup Forests and Skjoldenæsholm

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, we head to Bidstrup Forests and Skjoldenæsholm. We meet at 9:25 and start at 9:30 from the car park at Valborup Forest (Lerbjerg Teletårn), Skrædderhusvej, 4330 Hvalsø.

This is a 21 km hiking tour through the rolling Bidstrup Forests, where the landscape shifts between lakes, wetlands, bogs, heathland, and grassland. The route follows minor trails, gravel paths, and sections of the Skjoldjungestien down to Skjoldenæsholm, passing Gyldenløvshøj, Denmark's highest point at 125.5 meters. We walk at a pace of approximately 5 km/h, so the tour lasts around 5 hours in total. After about 8 km, we take a break at Avnstrup Shelter, where we eat packed food; there is also a toilet and the opportunity to refill water.

Remember to dress for the weather, bring drinks, and perhaps a snack - coffee or tea are welcome.

The tour requires a ticket via Billetto and costs 100 kr. The amount is not refunded in case of cancellation, but if the tour is cancelled, the 100 kr. will be refunded (Billetto's ticket fee is not refunded, however). Cancellations should be reported via Messenger or SMS to 22113747.
