Together on Preparedness in Communities: Monday 26 October 2026, 17:00–20:00, Biblioteket i Herning, Herning. Admission is free.

On 26 October 2026, HusetNo7 hosts an information and dialogue meeting on preparedness, resilience and communities as part of the campaign "Together on Preparedness". The meeting is open to all residents of Herning Municipality.

Participants will learn about home preparedness and the 3-day recommendation, as well as gain insight into the municipality's preparedness work. The meeting will also include dialogue on how local communities can strengthen resilience in the municipality - focusing on how neighbours, associations, volunteer networks and local communities can support each other before, during and after a crisis. The aim is to exchange experiences on how existing communities can serve as a resource when society is under pressure.

The event is aimed at everyone, but is particularly relevant for people active in, for example, civic associations, local councils, property owner and housing associations, sports and cultural associations, parish councils or other networks that contribute to social cohesion in Herning Municipality. The goal is to show how prepared citizens, strong communities and well-functioning municipal preparedness together make the local community more resilient.

Light refreshments will be served. The event is free but requires a ticket, which can be obtained here. It is organised in collaboration with HusetNo7 and Herning Municipality's preparedness coordinator, as part of the thematic collaboration "Together on Preparedness" between DR, Østifterne, Danske Folkeoplysnings Samråd and Bibliotekerne. Here citizens are invited to meet about preparedness through conversations, practical knowledge and hands-on activities - and to see preparedness in a broader perspective than the practical: also as something social, mental and cultural, concerning how we understand crises, talk about them and help each other.
