The lecture draws on author and speaker Anette Leonora Andersen's forthcoming book "Literature as a Life Companion", published 27 October 2026, and explores the significance of literature in our lives.

Fiction can be more than good stories: it can give voice to feelings and experiences we struggle to express otherwise. It can create recognition and comfort, open new perspectives when life changes, and challenge our image of ourselves and others.
