Talk about DR's programme "When Everything Goes Dark"
4. Langå Bibliotek, Langå · Free
Talk about "When Everything Goes Dark" - DR participants: Wednesday 28 October 2026, 19:00–20:30, 4. Langå Bibliotek, Langå. Admission is free.
In the DR programme "When Everything Goes Dark", 10 Danes move into five apartments side by side. They know they are participating in a TV experiment, but not what it involves. After a few hours, the power goes out - and doesn't return for three days.
The programme follows how the participants manage their daily lives without electricity, light, running water, internet, refrigerator, stove, and a functioning toilet. Resources are scarce and unevenly distributed, and it becomes clear whether the participants manage on their own or help each other.
At Langå Library, you can meet several of the participants and hear about their experiences when the power was out. They share how they reacted when they understood the situation, what was hardest, and what community meant to them - as well as what they learned about their own and others' preparedness.
The event is free but requires ticket booking. It takes place in the Multisalen at Kulturhuset Langå and is part of the theme day "Together on Preparedness", which the library organises together with DR, Dansk Folkeoplysnings Samråd, and Østifterne. The whole day offers lectures, activities, and conversations about preparedness.
