Zeuthen/Thomsen/Švejnar is a European trio led by Danish jazz legend Jesper Zeuthen. Since the 1960s, Zeuthen has been one of the most important figures in Danish jazz, shaping the scene both as a bandleader and sideman in numerous groups - most notably the jazz-rock band Blue Sun. Here he plays alongside Czech drummer Jakub Švejnar and Danish bassist Asger Thomsen, both representing a younger generation of original musicians on the experimental and improvised music scene. Together, the trio moves through an open space of listening and presence, where experience and curiosity meet, and new musical paths can emerge.

Jakub Švejnar (born 1995) is based in Prague and works primarily with free improvisation, experimental jazz, and contemporary music in various ensembles, including Jungle Debris, Pudlax, Grandmothers Favourite, Aid Kid live, Luboš Soukup Quartet, Dust in the Groove, and Prague Improvisation Orchestra. He is a sought-after collaborator in alternative and experimental jazz, free improvisation, and performance and dance projects, and has participated in performances of new works by composers such as Petr Hora, Haštal Hapka, Michal Wróblewsky, and Elia Moretti.

Asger Thomsen is a bassist and composer based in Copenhagen, working primarily with contemporary improvised music. His approach is physical and detail-oriented, with a broad sonic palette often expanded through unconventional playing techniques, and he seeks contrast and dynamic momentum in the music. Thomsen has established himself as a versatile improviser on the Copenhagen scene and tours internationally, often in ad hoc constellations with other improvisers as well as in projects such as Kimbra Koil, Rhizom, Engel/Thomsen, and a solo project.

Doors open at 19:30, music starts at 20:00. Tickets cost 50 kr.
