FUJ Prizes and Method Presentations · Cinemateket, Copenhagen

FUJ Prizes and Method Presentations: Saturday 14 November 2026, 11:30–23:00, Cinemateket, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 5–450 kr.

This year 68 journalistic projects have been submitted to the FUJ Prizes, and the jury is selecting the nominees. On Saturday, 14 November, the nominees take the stage in Asta cinema hall at Cinemateket. Doors open at 11:30, and from 12:00 to 18:00 the focus is on investigative journalism and the methods behind the nominated projects.

The nominees discuss their journalistic work: research, source work, documentation, editorial choices, and the methods that proved crucial along the way. They also address the challenges they faced and the lessons other journalists can apply to their own work. After each presentation, there is time for questions.

Extra time has been set aside for participants to meet. During breaks, you can continue conversations with the speakers, discuss methods and experiences, and meet journalists from other media outlets and regions. The aim is for the day not only to celebrate this year's investigative journalism but also to give journalists the chance to learn from each other, build new professional contacts, and take concrete ideas home. The nominees and full programme will be announced later.

When the last presentation ends at 18:00, the event changes character. From 18:30 there is dinner and the official prize ceremony, where four prizes are awarded: the Graver Prize for the year's most important investigative story, the Method Prize for a project with a particularly innovative method, the Communication Prize for the best presented investigative story, and the Current Events Prize for investigative journalism on a shared news event. The first two prizes are awarded during dinner, the last two during dessert.

The day programme and FUJ Prizes 2026 are supported by Aarhus Stiftstidendes Fond and several other sponsors, which will be announced as they come on board.

If you are a FUJ member, you save 300 kr. on the day programme ticket - so a year's membership and a discounted day ticket can cost the same as a regular day ticket. Join via FUJ.
