Citizen-Led Study Group: A Course in Miracles — Dianalund Bibliotek, Dianalund

"A Course in Miracles" is a spiritual and psychological self-study work - but most people find it difficult to work through alone. Dianalund Library provides space for a study group open to anyone who wants to read and engage with the material together. No prior knowledge is required.

The course originated from the collaboration between Helen Schucman and William Thetford, both professors of medical psychology at Columbia University. Frustration in their working relationship led to a shared realization that "there must be a better way" - the moment the course describes as "the little willingness". Helen then began writing down what she experienced as an inner voice, while William helped transcribe it. It took them seven years to complete. The result consists of a Text Book, a Workbook for Students, and a Manual for Teachers - a curriculum that aims on both theoretical and practical levels to lead the student to God. The course emphasizes that it is not the only path, but that it can save time.

The core can be summarized in three lines:
"Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies God's peace."

The study group was initiated by Dorte Vendelbo and is a community-run arrangement outside the library's staffed opening hours. The group meets 5-7 p.m. on the following Wednesdays in autumn and winter 2026: September 2, October 7, November 4, and December 2.

Registration is not required, but if you would like more information or to secure a place, you can write to Dorte Vendelbo at dorte.vendelbo@gmail.com. Questions about the event should also be directed to her.
