Award-winning author and historian René Karpantschof is known for his engaging writing style and appearances on numerous television and radio programmes. He comes to Dianalund to share his passion for bringing Danish history to life.

Karpantschof uses literary techniques in his books - but what happens to the truth? In his lecture, he demonstrates how he as a professional historian distinguishes between fake and fact using traditional source criticism. This includes a quick exercise on the credibility of historical films, politicians' claims about the past, and AI-generated material.

He also shares personal reasons for working with history and how personal engagement can be both an advantage and a disadvantage.
