Søs Egelind has survived cancer twice. The first time was lymph node cancer - which she describes as being "pickled thoroughly from head to toe" - and the second time a malignant melanoma.

In the lecture "Cancer, Determination and Direction", she draws on her own experiences and puts words to how even a serious illness can contain something that resembles a gift, if you manage to stay focused. With humor and honesty, she tells about the journey through the crisis and about standing on the other side as a wiser and more grateful person.
