Forfatterspirernes Writing Club at Husum Library

Forfatterspirernes Writing Club for young writers: 26 October – 14 December 2026, Husum Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Forfatterspirernes Writing Club at Husum Library is a free writing community for young people aged 11-18. Classes are held on Mondays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the meeting room at Husum Library, running from September 7 to December 14 - except during week 42 due to autumn break.

Participation is free, but as spaces are limited, you must get a free ticket via Billetto. If you want to try the club just once, you can show up without registration. Note that having a season ticket does not mean you are registered - the library will send an email where you must confirm your participation.

The club is a creative space for young people who want to write, create poetry, and express themselves through text, developing as young writers together with others. Once a week, participants write together under the guidance of poet and children's author Jeppe Madsen: writing exercises are done, texts are read aloud, and constructive feedback is practiced in an open and safe space where everyone is welcome.

Jeppe Madsen has published books for 15 years and taught creative writing since 2020. His texts explore the creative power of language and the ability to create imaginative worlds full of wit and optimism.
