Community Kitchen and Art Exhibition Opening: Wednesday 18 November 2026, 17:30–19:30, Vigerslev Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

On November 18, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Vigerslev Library hosts a community meal where neighbors can gather over food. The library is open for book borrowing, and everyone is welcome.

From 3 PM to 5 PM there is free open art workshop for families, and the library's young artists display works created during the autumn. The menu for the community meal will be announced later.

The community kitchen is a collaboration between Vigerslev Library, Mit Kvarter, and Folehavens Maddamer.

About the venue: Vigerslev Bibliotek

Vigerslev Library sits in the Folehave district of Valby and serves as both a public and school library under Copenhagen Libraries. The large single-room space is divided between a children's area with room to play and read, and a quieter section for adults. The library acts as a local hub, regularly hosting events such as read-alouds, community singing, a people's kitchen and holiday camps, often in partnership with nearby daycare centres and local organisations.
