Archaeological tour of Hans Tavsens Park: 13 October – 15 October 2026, Hans Tavsens Park, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Copenhagen Museum is conducting archaeological excavations in Hans Tavsens Park, and you are invited to join a guided tour and learn about the finds. Archaeologists will tell you about their work and about the lives of poor Copenhageners in the 1800s. Please note that real skeletons may be uncovered during the excavations.

The excavations are taking place because Hans Tavsens Park and Hans Tavsens Gade are being transformed into a continuous green area. The park will also be able to collect stormwater from the local area, so roads and basements do not flood when there is more rain and more storms in the future.

📍 Meeting point: the entrance at the end of Jesper Brochmands Gade, Hans Tavsens Park.
⏰ Tuesday 13 October 1-2 pm or Thursday 15 October 1-2 pm.

Participation is free, but registration is required.
